PostSubject: What Is Islam ?   Fri 6 Feb - 19:41

Dear friends whose minds are closed and prejudiced against Islam,

I
have notice lots of people seem to have totally blocked minds, which
are closed and prejudiced against Islam. Maybe because most media is
not truly international and represents only the views of one section of
society.

Here are a few things which will make life simpler for everybody:

1. Muslims don’t hate Jews, Christians, Hindus, etc.

2. Muslim Women are independent, intelligent, beautiful, work, run huge companies, smart, and DO drive.

3. Muslims were not born suicide bombers.

4. Muslims do not love blowing up buildings and killing innocent people. Nor do we support terrorists who do.

5.
Muslims did not celebrate or have a big party when the World Trade
Centre was bombed or every time there is a bomb attack in any Western
city

6. Muslims children are not taught to kill non-Muslims and go to school like all other regular people.

7. Muslims DO NOT want to force others into following Islam

8.
Muslims however do want to be respected and treated equally for their
own set of values and beliefs which DO NOT harm any body else.

The
above things are simple and should help people understand Islam, if you
don’t understand what is written about then you are a true racist moron
and are truly a BIG problem for the entire Earth.

PostSubject: Re: What Is Islam ?   Wed 20 May - 17:20

Here is another definition to ISLAM

Islam is a monotheistic religion, taught by the
Prophet Muhammad in Arabia in the seventh century which now between 1
and 1.8 billion adherents, called Muslims. This is, chronologically
speaking, the third major monotheistic aware of the family of Abrahamic
religions, following Judaism and Christianity with which it has a
number of common elements, and before Baha'ism. Globally, Islam is the
second religion in many of the faithful, according to Christianity and
Hinduism. It is an Arabic revelation of the religion of Adam, Noah and
all the prophets. So it looks like a return to the religion of Abraham
(called Ibrahim by the Muslims) in terms of belief, the Koran as
defining the path of Ibrahim (Millat Ibrahim).

The holy book
of Islam is the Koran. The Islamic doctrine ensures that the collection
contains the revelation of Allah, transmitted orally by the Prophet
Muhammad. According to Muslims, this revelation continued for 23 years,
through the Archangel Gabriel, through dreams, as in the case of
Abraham, by divine inspiration. The Koran acknowledges the divine
origin of all the holy books of monotheistic, although Muslims commonly
believe that they are present in their writings, the result of forgery:
the Suhuf-i-Ibrahim (the sheets of Abraham), the Tawrat (the Pentateuch
or Torah), the Zabur of David and Solomon (identified in the Book of
Psalms) and the Injil (the Gospel).

Besides the Koran, the
vast majority of Muslims refers to the transmission of words, deeds and
approvals of Muhammad, called hadiths stories. However, the different
branches of Islam do not agree on compilations of hadith to be
authentic. The Quran and Hadith called "admissible" are two of the four
sources of Islamic law, sharia, the other two being unanimously (ijma
') and analogy (Qiyas).
